Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Online Shop Has MOVED
Friends, Customers, Nail Society,
I have moved my online shop from Etsy to Storenvy. If you go to my Etsy shop you will find it on "Vacation Mode" with the announcement that I have moved. My Storenvy site is up and running, open for business. You will see new photos to better show off all the wonderful colors I have created for you. My Instagram account (@nailartjenn and @dailyhuesnaillacquer) bios have also been updated and will take you to the Storenvy site.
The website is www.dailyhuesnaillacquer.storenvy.com
I have made these changes to better serve you. I want to make the checkout process as seamless as possible. It will allow me to save money on fees which in turn allows me to pass that savings on to you in the future. I will be able to have more sales (a few polishes have been added to the sale section) and I will be able to interact more with everyone on Storenvy.
I truly appreciate your patience and support while this transition is happening. I am also creating new and exciting colors and effects to be released soon. Make sure you check on my Instagram page (@dailyhuesnaillacquer) for previews and release dates. Some will be available for preorder at a discount too!
I want to make my brand something you as a customer are proud to wear, and show off. I want to continue to provide the highest level of service to you while having fun doing it. I have a strong, loving passion for what I do and I hope that you as the customer and friend see that.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Gwen For OPI - OPI Review
YAY! I have been looking forward to this line ever since I heard it was being released. I still have not picked up all the colors but I am not sure if I want the deep red "I sing in color" and the glitter "In true Stefani fashion"
I was able to get my hands on the awesome crème pink "Hey Baby" and the two satins "Love.Angel.Music.Baby" and "4 In The Morning" I also picked up the super cool "Push and Shove"
I picked up "Love.Angel.Music.Baby" and "Push and Shove" in December before the actual release which was odd, at my local JCPenny salon. I had heard the release wasn't until January. I hadn't seen any of my Instagram friends with it yet and I knew it was going to be popular. Oops on JCP but yay me!
I really enjoyed "Love.Angel.Music.Baby" it is what OPI calls a satin finish and it tells you right on the cap do not add top coat. It reminds me of liquid sand but definitely with little to texture it is just smooth and matte. It is a pretty gold hue with a little sparkle. It goes on so easy, and I think because of the formula dries extremely fast.
I also had to try "Push and Shove" right away. I wanted to see how metallic this would really be. I have been looking for a metallic nail polish on and off so I was really excited to see this. It comes with a special BASE coat. I did not apply a regular base coat to my nails and the one that came with it in fear I would mess up the formula somehow. I let that dry almost completely and then I applied the silver. It goes on streaky, and takes a few strokes to get it to look straight. If you have lots lines in your nails like I do it picks them all up. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to apply this differently but after two or three coats depending on how it went on I got this to look pretty even. I definitely wouldn't do a full mani again because of how it shows the imperfections in my nails (gasp!) I ended up using it again as an accent nail in a Seahawks mani that weekend though. I do really like the idea, and the product, you just need to have patience when applying
Last weekend I picked up "Hey Baby" and "4 In The Morning".
I am not the biggest of fans of pink and this one seemed extra pink. But I wanted to check it out, broaden my horizons, be flexible. This polish goes on so smooth and easy. And it really is a fun color. I got quite a few compliments on my mani when I was out running errands. It is a show stopper for sure.
"4 In The Morning" is the other satin in the collection. It is black in the bottle and when applied it goes on just as easy and smooth as "Love.Angel.Music.Baby". When dry it dries to almost a chalkboard look and has some very fine silver specks in it. Definitely a fun one as one. I used that as an accent nail with my "Hey Baby". I really love pink and black together.
I still want to get my hands on the special edition color with the nail art and Swarovski elements. If I get it I will also review that!
Enjoy! Go get you some Gwen for OPI!

I am on Social Media - Come find me!
I have started to become a social media junkie. I want to get my polish line out to as many people as possible because I am so passionate about it. I want to share it with the world!
I have many outlets now that you can find information on just about anything nail related that I do. I have the polish line and my nail art.
Instagram (Times 3 - Crazy me!)
@dailyhuesnaillacquer - Everything related to my Polish Line included swatches from myselg and others, designs, updates etc.
@nailartjenn - All my nail designs and art that I do. I do have some polish line related posts as I am trying to build up my base on @dailyhuesnaillacquer you will see some of the same posts.
@nailartjenndestash - This is where I have been putting up some of the polish I have not used or just used one time. I have three full polish racks and I refuse to buy a forth (for now) so I have the colors, brands, and prices all including shipping information up on each photo
Twitter
@nailartjenn - This is mostly a mashup of polish line and nail design. Short and sweet, ya know 140 or less. If it too brief to your liking, Instagram, Facebook and this lovely thing called a blog which you are currently reading will have more and more!
Facebook
Facebook.com/dailyhuesnaillacquer - or search for Daily Hues Nail Lacquer. This is my newest addition and I am trying to remember to place information here as well. Again, you can find swatches, and additional information, more than Twitter and IG.
I hope this helps you all out! I appreciate the support and love always!
XOXO,
Jenn

"Smitten Kitten" Valentines Day Collection - Available 1/14
Ladies! *Shreek* I am so excited to announce the launch of Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Valentines Day line "Smitten Kitten"
This line is all about love, crushes, joy and happiness. I have created SIX wonderful colors for you to enjoy - including a limited edition HOLO that is super packed with all the holo a girl could ever want or need!
I have specifically named these beauties with names that have the meaning of LOVE <3 or a variation of the word.
First up, I want to introduce you to "Abby". This one holds a very special place in my heart. I named it and designed it after my daughter Abby. She LOVES ladybugs so that is why she is a rich, bright red, with black glitters throughout to represent a ladybug. I made this one and showed to her, without telling her it was going to be her namesake. She said, "It looks like a ladybug!" I told her I was going to name it Abby, and her eyes lit up, gave me a wonderful hug and said "Thank you!" Totally worth it :)
I wanted to continue the good feeling of doing this so 10% of "Abby" proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Cherice - Dear One, Darling
She is so dear! A pretty sparkling and dazzling white. A wonderful, go to glitter topper just to add that extra sparkle! Looks wonderful all alone for a subtle sparkle, or over white, black, or pink!
Mina - Love
Oh glitter how I love thee! Say hello to the fierce and firey Mina. Packed with red square glitter and a hint of red spectraflair to add some spice to your digits. Looks great over black and red.
Vida - Dearly Loved
She may be dark but she is the meaning of her name! Sometimes it is hard to love, and give your love but there is always those select few who truly know who you are and you mean the world to them. You are Dearly Loved
Aiko - Child of Love
Happy holo my friends! Aiko is my definately my child of love. This pretty and delicated pinkish purple has all the holographic qualities you want! LIMITED EDITION, once she is gone, there will be no more.
Melina - Peoples Love
Yay for bright pink, happy glitters. She will definately be working for the people when you throw her on your fingers! Looks great over light blue, pink, and black! The people will love them! Hot pink bars, white hex, blue hex, and black hex throughout.
For more swatches please go directly to my Etsy store or my Instagram @dailyhuesnaillacquer

New colors on the way!!
As many of you know I have been on business travel for the past two months for my "real job". While I have been out and about, it has truly benefitted me and my creative energy regarding colors, blends, and what to make with my polish line. I know I have been MIA but I feel like this will help in the long run. It will help you as a customer because you are going to get amazing polish like you have never seen from me. All I want to do is go home and start mixing and experimenting for you.
I thank you for your patience while I have been away for so long right after I launched the line. The best is yet to come!!

Daily Hues Nail Lacquer - The Holographic Collection
Recently, I launched my holographic collection full of bright jewel tones with plenty of holographic goodness packed in. I just wanted to take a moment to discuss why you may not see as much holographic qualities as you may see in other brands like the very popular Color Club Holo line. I love that line and I own them all!
First things first, I am not knocking or degrading any line that carries holo. Mine is different and not any better or any worse than those out there. I just wanted to let you know why my mine is different and why it does stand out. I love that holographic is such a happening trend. It is so much fun and with how many different qualities that holographic polish provides how could you not fall in love with it!?
With the holographic collection that I created, I used deep jewel tones that I didn't want to take away from. The colors are so magical and they are fit for a queen! If you aren't a queen I understand (me either) but these colors make me feel like it. With the jewel tones wanted to add some extra goodness so duh, holo! I did not jam pack the polishes with holo like the above referenced Color Club line, the colors are also very light in comparison to the line that I created. The qualities that are provided in holographic nail polish still exist very much in my collection. The colors shift from darker to lighter in different lights, natural lights, camera with flash and also camera without. I hope this helps you understand why my holographic collection is different and why when you look at "just pictures" you may not see what you are used to seeing.

The top photo shows "Selina" in a lower light no flash, in a light box, the bottom photo shows with flash and you can still see the holographic properties, along with the color of blue that is totally different.
The collection is below:

Product Review - Mod Lacquer
First things first, I made it back from New York City on my business trip yesterday to a load of nail mail. It was like Christmas! I am returning to New York for another 3 weeks leaving the 2nd of December. I wanted to get this review done before I left again, because I love this line, and the polish!
I had the opportunity to do a swatch review for Mod Lacquer and I was so excited! I had just ordered my first color about a week earlier when I went on my Indie Polish buying spree when Mod did a call out on Instagram for Bloggers. I was all in!
One of my packages when I returned was from Mod with 4 awesome minis to try. I was so excited!
I took some macro shots of each color for you to get a closer look at:
This is Cherry Fizz, a great red with some really wonderful holographic properties to it
This is Sasquatch, a wonderful and feminine brown with awesome gold glitter flakes
This is Thunderbird, a tempting black with holographic glitters just loaded throughout
This is Revenant, a sweet blue with super fine silver glitter, and almost a purple hue to it in certain light
My first mani I did was for Thanksgiving and I used Cherry Fizz and Sasquatch. I think these two colors together just worked perfectly for today, and they make an awesome combination. I went over the ombre two times to get the desired color. I used an ombre effect and then drew a turkey for an accent nail.
My second mani I used Thunderbird and Revenant. Thunderbird is 2 generous coats on the accent and Revenant is 2 coats. The blue and fine silver glitters in Revenant paired next to the holo glitter goodness in Thunderbird also made a great duo.
Mod Lacquer is an amazing line with tons of creative combinations, glitters, duochromes, mini sets, full sets and anything else you could ever want. Please go check Mod Lacquer out now here on Etsy and on Instagram @ModLacquer
You will not be disappointed I promise!

Out on Business Travel - New York City Here I COME!
Hey Ladies! In case you didn't know I actually have a "regular" job besides making polish, doing my nails, reviews etc.
I am being shipped off to New York City starting tomorrow and will not be returning until November 27. Not a bad place to be doing some work for a couple weeks, and I get to go Christmas shopping in New York! I am pretty excited about that. Where should I go to buy Nail Polish? I need to find the nail polish meccas in NYC! Any of you familiar with some places I should go?
You won't see much from me though, which makes me sad.
My Etsy shop will be open, but orders will not be processed until I return during Thanksgiving Weekend. Still plenty of time though to get it to you before Christmas!
Please KIK me if you are in NYC and would like to meet up or tell me where to go to get some sweet polishes!! @nailartjenn
XOXO,
Jenn~

Review: Winstonia Store - Metallic Studs
I was awarded the opportunity to blog about and review for Winstobia Store and their metallic studs. There is also a 10% Off Coupon through December 31st for these studs, use NAILARTJENN as the coupon code. Thank you Winstonia Store!
I went on their store and was able to choose the size and style that I wanted to work with.
I chose the 4mm rectangle and 3mm squares. I also got the squares in gold and silver and the rectangles in black and gold. So much fun! They came nicely packaged, in a perfect sized shipping envelope. Some places go a little overboard.
My first manicure I did I wanted to show texture and have a ton of fun with the rectangular studs in gold. I used Sinful Colors new Crystal Crush colors in Purple Gleam and Treasure Chest. I wanted to create a fun pattern with these so on the purple nails I did a stair pattern, placing the studs vertically. On the teal nails I did a vertical and horizontal design to switch it up.
Isn't this just so much fun!? The colors in the polish against the gold of the studs just makes it blend so well.
My second manicure I did was for my NFL Gameday manicure for my Seahawks! I used the silver squares to show toughness, and strength.
Most of you by looking at my Instagram will see I don't use a lot of "attachments" in my nail art and manicures. I never found a good glue, or a good stud that would stay on my finger, or one that didn't feel too heavy on my finger when trying to place it. These are a good width, and don't feel like my fingers are being weighed down. I did find 3 of the studs that were damaged out of the bags. 2 squares were warped on the corner and a rectangle was scraped. Out of the whole bag of studs I dismissed that. I can only imagine the number of studs they handle daily and how hard it would be to keep it all in check. I don't like putting them away and trying to pick them all up haha, you never know how many you may use.
I have really enjoyed using these studs, and want the other shapes and sizes they have too!!
Please go visit them online

I really do like these studs and will use them more!!
Review: Revlon Parfumerie - Scented Nail Polish
Yesterday I decided to hit up my local Rite Aid for a drugstore nail polish haul. I saw an Instagram buddy review the scented Revlon polishes and was interested. I have never bought Revlon before and let's just say I may have fallen for the marketing ploy. Cute little perfume looking bottles and it smells good. Ok. I caved. I only bought 4 though, not the whole collection! Yay me, it is the small victories people.
This is 2 coats. I was really wanting this one to blow me away in the scent department. It didn't. This still had the most nail polish smell to me. Boo.
This is 2 coats. Holy goodness in a bottle batman! This is like sweet, minty gum in a bottle! In love. I enjoy the awesome color, and the glitter, and almost textured look to it.
First I tried Bordeaux (one of my favorite types of red wines) this was a given. Wine is another huge passion of mine. I think that is why I lean towards reds and deep purples so much. I didn't know what to expect at first. I applied this pretty deep red wine color. I smelled my finger (kind of cracking up right now - imagining you all with a mental picture of me smelling my finger!) it smelled like nail polish still. I was like "WTF? I got bamboozled here!" Then I turn the bottle over a and in teeny tiny writing it says "fragranced when dry" ok got it. Haha!
So this is two coats of Bordeaux.
The scent is interesting. It is somewhat sweet. Not really overpowering.
Next up is "Moonlit Woods"
This is three coats. This scent is so faint. It isn't sweet and isn't like you're smelling a tree either. But has a calm quality to it.
Next is "Spun Sugar"
Lastly, "Wintermint"
All in all, for $5.99 a piece it was a good buy. Yes it's gimmicky, but that's why it's called marketing! I fell for it, haha. I enjoy the colors and I am glad I tried it. I may go back and get a few other colors. With or without the smells they are still good colors for a good price.
